Mimosa Umbrella

Good Morning All:

I'm back today with another lovely Mimosa, this time Mimosa Umbrella. I watercolured this image with waterbase inks. I added some Stickles, a Prima flower, pearls, used a combination of MS & Fiskars punches, the ribbon is from my never ending ribbon stash. I also added some Judikins Diamond Glaze to the corner punches for a bit of glossy dimension. I was trying out my Distress Inks - Crushed Olive on this card, I think I found a new favourite for watercolouring. The patterned paper is Bo Bunny Olive Dot, Bo Bunny Boysenberry Dot & Bo Bunny Jazmyne. The cardstock is from my stash. The image is stamped on watercolour paper with Staz On.

Here is a close up of Mimosa:

Hope you enjoy today's post, please leave a comment to let me know what you think.

BildiSketch003 - Mimo Tree

Hello!

I am so loving the weather we are having this spring! Summer has come early for us in Southern Ontario. Though I am in no means trying to rush the season, my submission for the BildiSketch003 Challenge using the Bildmalarna Mimo Tree stamp pushes us forward into fall. I watercoloured the image and distressed the edges with ink as in the the closeup below . . .

At last I put my maple leaf punch to use to embellish my card and gold Stickles to capture the shimmer of the Indian summer sun.

Now to spring back into spring, summer's only beginning and it's going to be AWESOME!

Be back soon!

Regards,

BildiSketch002 - Mimosa's Hearts

Hello,

I'm back again with my submission for the BildiSketch002 Challenge.

This time I watercoloured the Bildmalarna Mimosa's Hearts stamp. The image doesn't show the glimmer in her jammies too well but I used pearlized watercolours that I found at Scrapfest this past spring that I just couldn't resist.

I used was Basic Grey's Porcelain Collection - Chatsworth patterned paper and a lot of Stickles glitter on this card. I also employed the rolled flower technique that can be found on Splitcoaststampers to make the flower with scrap from the card.

Thanks for visiting! See you again soon!

Hi Everyone:

I completed the second challange using Tossa with Little Whisper just in time for Mother's Day and my Mother's birthday. I crossed many hurdles to do this card as I am not a girly girl. I have only ever used flowers and the colour pink in class and have never created a feminine card.

Frolle Frog Fish

Hi All:

My name is Debbie and I am also a member of the Design Team, I look forward to sharing all my creations with you.

For Bildi001 Challenge I chose Frolle Frog Fish. After stamping Frolle with Memento Tuxedo Black ink I coloured with Copics, here is the recipe of colours:

Frog: YG03, G17, YG67 & RV42 for the mouth

Lily Pad: Y08, G05, E35

Bullrushes: E35, E37, E47

Water: B00, B23, B32, B24

Flying Bug: E35, E33, E37, then I added glitter to the tail

Die cuts are done with Nestabilities and then mounted on a couple of colours of cardstock I had. I put two squares on two opposites sides of the cardstock and on the bare spots. I stamped my little fish once again with Memento Black.

Thanks so much for visiting, I look forward to your comments.

Mimosa's Hearts

Hello All:

This first card is dedicated to my daughter. I am hoping (especially with school starting soon) that will finally fall into some sort of routine and pass out around 9pm instead of her usual 1130pm.

I used water colour pencils and mineral spirits to colour Mimosa Hearts. I used tissue paper to create the green grass background. Lots of stickles for the fairy dust. The rest are odds and sods from my stash.

(Mommy wants to play, please to go sleep)

Mimosa at the Stump

I wanted to share one of my favourite images called "Mimosa at the Stump" with you today. I watercoloured all three cards using waterbase ink on watercolour paper. I thought it would be neat to show three different variations using the same stamp. On the 3rd card I cut out the stump and opted for a bed of flowers just to make Mimosa look different.

Please let me know what you think as comments are always welcome!

Have a wonderful day!
